InvoiceFree ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using InvoiceFree, you agree to this policy.

Data we collect

Without an account (local-only mode)

All invoice data is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. We do not transmit, store, or process any invoice content on our servers when you use the app without logging in.

With an account (cloud sync)

If you create an account and enable cloud sync, your invoice data is stored in our database (Supabase) under your user ID. This data is protected with row-level security and is only accessible to you.

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store plain-text passwords. We do not collect your name, address, or payment information beyond what Stripe processes directly.

How we use your data

To provide and maintain the InvoiceFree service
To authenticate your account and sync your invoices across devices
To process payments via Stripe (we never see your full card number)
To send transactional emails (e.g., invoice delivery via Resend)
To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the product

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Supabase: Authentication and cloud database storage for logged-in users.

Stripe: Payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Stripe handles all card data directly.

Resend: Transactional email delivery when you send invoices by email.

Google Analytics: Anonymous usage analytics to understand how InvoiceFree is used. No personally identifiable information is shared.

Cookies

We use browser localStorage (not cookies) to store your invoice data and preferences. Authentication sessions use HTTP-only cookies managed by Supabase. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for analytics purposes.

Data retention and deletion

Local data can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage. Cloud data associated with your account can be deleted by deleting your account from the settings page. We will remove all associated data within 30 days of account deletion.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the app or by email. Continued use of InvoiceFree after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
